Carla Y. Nix is an
active
member of the Greater Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church
in Terry, MS. Dr. Lenell McGee, Jr. is pastor. She
is the wife of Reverend Jerry L. Nix, Sr., who is a “Son of
the House” (associate minister) at Pilgrim Rest. Carla and
her family reside in Crystal Springs, MS. They evacuated
from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina in August 2005.
God has blessed them tremendously by allowing them to
purchase a new home in Crystal Springs. Carla and Jerry are
the proud parents of three children: Jerry Jr. (23);
Tiffanie (22), and Anaiah (11).
Carla serves as
the Marriage Ministry Director at Pilgrim Rest. She is a
member of the church’s Praise and Worship Team. She is also
called upon to teach in various capacities through the
Christian Education ministry. Recently, Carla returned to
school. She attends the Bethel Christian Seminary, under
the auspices of the Copiah Ministerial Alliance in
Hazlehurst, MS. Her major is Christian
Counseling. Additionally, she is an author and motivational
speaker. She is author of “Walking in Your Purpose”, and a
devotional entitled, “Seven Keys and Affirmations for
Victorious Living”. She is currently working on two
additional books in the Victorious Living series.
She is founder
and leader of an online ministry,
Sisters4Jesus – for Christian Women – with a nationwide
membership of over 400 members. Carla is the producer and
hostess of her own internet radio talk show, Passion4Life.

Carla writes and publishes an online newsletter,
Passion4Life. She recently joined the staff of VICTORIOUS
Magazine as Senior Editor and Contributing Writer. Carla’s
greatest joy in life, and her only desire, is to be a
blessing to others. She is an available and willing
instrument for the Lord and enjoys teaching, training,
motivating, and leading others.
